The Lionness is Still Prowling

HI!!!

I am still here, still on the planet.  Lots of things have been going on in my little world. 

I've been going to some job interviews, but nothing yet as far as job offers.  I did a data entry test with the state last week and scored 10,114 key strokes per hour with one error...they called for an interview yesterday, and I have that tomorrow. I also turned in an app with the registrar's office at the parent campus of the school I go to.  THAT would be a great job to get...wonder if I'd get a break on tuition? I know that their employees' kids can go to that school FOR FREE. 

I've finished jumping through all the hoops with the Displaced Worker program and have been approved for funding through them, and the program has been approved also. YAY!!!! Money for school is always a good thing. If I take 3 classes per term, I will be done in less than 18 months.

Shelby is doing well in school and with volleyball. She gets a little nervous during the games, but hopefully that will go away with more games played. 

Leo & kids are all OK.  Tuesday night, he went to Shelby's vball game since I had class & couldn't go.  It stormed like crazy that night, and when he took her home, he came upon some pretty big tree limbs in the road. He stopped got out of the truck and pulled them all off to the side because he didn't want me to have to deal with them on my way home at 10:00.  Awwwww.....yes major points scored for both rearranging his work schedule to go to the game, and for moving the tree limbs out of the way.  I think I'll keep him.

That's the quickie update from here, it's about time to leave so I can go to lunch with Leo - we have a 1:00 p.m. date.

I'm glad to hear things are going well. I'm sure a job will come up before you know it. I've got another interview next week for a new daytime position where I work now. I'm really hoping for this one, but we will see. I think 19 people applied for it, and I've only been there for a year.

You need to get a computer at home. I miss hearing from you!
