In Gloria's Place I can be a mom, a woman, a daughter, a wife, a writer, a customer, an observer and a person all at the same time, without judgement or remorse.
Have you ever read a copy of KIWI magazine? It's a great magazine that focuses on raising healthy kids through healthy lifestyles. They introduce a lot of natural foods and organic products and every now and then they introduce some eco-friendly products. Today I read about the Calphalon Renew program and thought it was great because this morning I was just thinking I needed to replace my pans. When I say really, I mean REALLY! You know how they say you shouldn't cook with pans with scratches in them, well I have one left without scratches. I want to get rid of the rest, but don't want to throw my old ones in the trash for eco-friendly reasons of course.
I told myself I would research how to recycle my old pots and pans, but KIWI got here before I had a chance too. Later today I logged onto the Calphalon Renew program website to see how much a set cost. I was hoping they had an online store, but instead I have to go to one of their outlet sites. The closest one is almost an hour away and not at all in the directions I usually travel. If they at least had the prices online I could see if I could afford to travel that far. Muchos kudos to their program. I think it is great what they are doing. I only wish they would extend it online for everyone who doesn't live near one of their stores.
